Friends, we have achieved what was once unthinkable – HIV/AIDS is no longer the death sentence it once was. It’s now a disease that we can treat AND prevent. We have fought to end the stigma and discrimination against those with HIV. We have removed barriers to accessing quality medical care. We have stood by our clients and demanded health, social and racial justice. For more than 30 years Sunburst Projects has worked tirelessly to help our clients live their healthiest lives and know they are not alone.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we continue to provide essential services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; in-person medical case management, mental health services and essential social services. We are hard at work helping clients find affordable housing, put food on the table, pay utility bills and provide for their children.

December 1st is #GivingTuesday and World AIDS Day. Join us in celebrating our progress and unite with us during this global day of giving so we can continue to fight for the most vulnerable in our community – impoverished children and families living with HIV/AIDS.

We know we’re not the only organization asking for your help at this time of year. So, let me remind you why our request is so important and why we need your help.

Sunburst Projects cares for vulnerable women, men, children and families living with HIV/AIDS by:
• Delivering life-saving HIV medications to clients with full-blown AIDS
• Securing prenatal care for HIV+ pregnant moms so they deliver healthy, HIV negative babies
• Providing mental health services for clients traumatized by their HIV diagnosis
• Providing support groups for clients who have experienced stigma, shunning by their families, and bullying in school
• Providing emergency financial assistance to help repair flat tires, pay utility bills, and purchase wigs after cancer treatment
• Providing food vouchers for our clients who can’t afford to feed their families

We do this work so people living with HIV/AIDS stay engaged in their healthcare, live their healthiest lives, and stop the spread of HIV in our community.
